Introduction
To perform the core replacement on a Sturmey Archer RX-RK5 Hub you will need the following tools:
Sturmey Archer Hub Core Wrench (available for purchase on the Biktrix Website)
Adjustable Wrench
Bike chain tool
T25 Head Screwdriver/Bit
This service can be performed with the hub still laced into the wheel or with the hub standing by itself. However, the rear wheel must be removed from the bike to do this.
Step 1
Remove the chain from the hub or bike using a chain tool.
Remove the wheel from the bike still attached.
Remove the brake rotor from the hub using the T25 Head Driver
Remove both of the nuts from the rotor side of the hub.
