Introduction
Follow these steps for instructions on installing the Anti-Rotation brackets on the rear Axle of your Hub Duo.
You will need the following tools to do this:
4mm Allen Key
19mm Flat Wrench OR an Adjustable Wrench
Anti Rotation Brackets (x2)
M5x15 Bolts (included with brackets)
Step 1
Start with the bike either securely resting on its kickstand OR if on a bike stand support the rear wheel with a stool or similar surface!
Loosen and remove the circled bolt attaching the rear fender stay to the bike using a 4mm Allen Key. Take the washer and save it for later.
Remove the cap covering the axle nut as shown in the second image
Loosen and remove the now uncovered rear axle nut using a 19mm wrench. There will be a washer behind it - uninstall that as well. If your bike has a derailleur guard also remove it from the bike while doing this.
You can alternatively use an adjustable wrench if you do not have a 19mm Wrench.
Ensure the rear wheel is fully on the ground or that it's weight is supported while doing this.
Step 2
Install the anti-rotation bracket so the large hole is on the axle threading and the small hole lines up with the hole on the frame that the fender stay attaches to.
This is demonstrated in the second image
Reattach the fender stay with the previous washer and the included longer M5x15 bolt. Only thread this bolt in halfway through for right now.
Step 3
Reattach the washer and large axle bolt using the 19mm Wrench or Adjustable Wrench.
If your bike has a derailleur guard you can also reinstall it at this time - slide it on before the washer and axle nut.
Thread the axle nut back onto the axle - first lightly by hand then tighten with your wrench.
Now fully tighten the fender stay bolt.
Fully tighten the Axle Nut with your wrench. If you have a torque wrench this should be torqued to 40 Nm.
Reinstall the axle nut cap.
Now that this has been done on one side you can return to Step 1 and perform this process on the other side of the bike. Once one bracket has been installed on both sides of the motor axle you will be finished!
