Introduction

If you have damaged some fender mounts on your fork, you may need to replace your fender stays with this Front Universal Fender Stay kit.

You will need the following tools for this:

  • Phillips Screwdriver

  • 5mm Allen Key

  • 10mm Wrench

  • 4mm Allen Key

  • 3mm Allen Key

  • Pliers or wire cutters to cut the new fender stay down to length

    • Optional but sometimes needed depending on the fork, fender and wheel combination.

Step 1

  • Remove your existing fender from your eBike

  • Remove the existing fender stay from your fender by loosening the screws with a phillips screwdriver

  • Take your new fender stay and mounting hardware. Install the new stay in the same manner as the previous one.

Step 2

  • Take both of the fender stay arms (pictured above) and loosen the bolts on them with a 3mm Allen Key. Make sure not to fully loosen these from the nuts on the opposite side.

  • Slide this fender stay arm onto the fender stay. You may need to loosen the bolt a bit more to attach this and slowly wiggle it onto the stay.

  • Tighten up the fender stay arm bolt again with your 3mm Allen Key.

Step 3

  • Take each circular mounting bracket. Gently pull it apart as demonstrated in the first image - this is needed to open up some packaging holding this shut during shipping.

  • Slide the mounting bracket clamps over the fork leg - ensuring the solid section is pointing towards the front of the fork

  • Loosely install your front fender to the fork arch. Take note of how the stays line up with the brackets. If the stays are too long, as shown in the third image, you may need to cut them and make them shorter.

Step 4

  • Insert the stay connector arm into the open section of the brackets

  • Put the included bolt into one end, and the nut into the other

  • Tighten this all up with an Allen key

  • Ensure the top fender arch bolts are reinstalled and tightened

  • Make sure the fender arm bolts are hand-tightened to the best of your abilities.

Your Front Universal Fender stay is now installed on your eBike
