Introduction
Follow these instructions to install your upgraded DM07V Clour Display onto your eBike!
You will need the following tools for this:
2.5mm Allen Key
Step 1
Find your display and the wire coming out from it. Trace that wire to the connector.
You may need to undo some wire wrapping holding the wires together for this
Unplug the connector that is for your display. To do this gently pull, and wiggle the conenctor apart.
DO NOT TWIST this to disconnect. Take time and be patient - it will come undone
Step 2
Take your 2.5mm Allen Key and locate the bolt at the BOTTOM of your display - on the clamp that attaches it to your handlebars. Undo this bolt by rotating it counterclockwise with the 2.5mm Allen Key.
With the bolt removed you can pivot the clamp that holds the display to the handlebars open. Then take the old display off from the handlebars.
Step 3
Take your new display. Remove the bolt holding the clamp shut with a 2.5mm Allen Key
Open up the clamp once bolt had been losoened enough. Keep track of this bolt to secure the new display to the eBike!
Take the new display and clamp it onto the handlebars where theold display was positioned, with the UP and DOWN buttons positioned closest to the grips.
Step 4
Use the 2.5mm Allen Key to reinstall the clamp bolt on your new display to hold it securely to the handlebars.
Take the Connector end from the new display and the end you unplugged the old display from. Re-connect these - making sure the notches are aligned by pointing the arrows embedded on each connector towards each other
Firmly PUSH these connectors together - DO OT TWIST THEM!
Re-do and cable wrapping that you previously undid to keep the wires together
