PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE FOR THE INSTALLATION ON YOUR BIKE MODEL BEFORE BEGINNING TO INSTALL THE LIGHT. BIKTRIX IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES TO THE BIKE, MOTOR OR CONTROLLER ARISING FROM INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF THIS ACCESSORY
Armageddon Light with 2-pin connector
Ultra Beast Armageddon Light Relay
5mm Hex Key
2.5mm Hex Key
Step 1: Relay Replacement
Remove the batteries from the bike, then discharge any excess electricity from the bike by holding the POWER button for your display to power it up with no battery on the bike.
Undo the following 4 screws located on the back of the bike's seat post with a 2.5mm Allen Key
With this removed you can see the dualizer and stock headlight relay. You will need to plug the replacement relay into where the stock relay is. Unplug these one at a time and make sure you plug into the right connectors
Note that there is one connector here that is not plugged into anything. DO NOT PLUG THE RELAY INTO THIS PLUG - YOU WILL FRY THE NEW RELAY AND NEED TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE IF YOU DO THIS. The plug of concern is a Female XT30 connector with one red and one black wire connected to it - see in image beow.
Unplug the connector leaving the right side of the relay where there are two thin black wires on one end of the plug. Plug the end of the relay with the purple and orange coloured wires into this connector
Unplug the end of the connector leaving the left side of the relay which has two thick black wires coming out of it. Plug in the end of the relay with yellow and teal coloured wires into this.
This is how the hooked up relay and wires will look when you are done
Step 2: Mounting the Armageddon Headlight Assembly
Tools Needed: 5mm Hex Key, Headlight
The headlight assembly mounts on the steer tube – so the stem needs to be removed to install it. Loosen the two bolts on the side of the stem then remove the top cap bolt with the 5mm hex key. If the bike is in a stand, support the front wheel as the fork will drop through the head tube once the stem is removed.
Note that while these example pictures show a different bike the process for performing this step is the exact same on the Ultra Beast.
Remove the stem and handlebars. If you have the stock headlight installed remove and unplug this from the front plate of the handlebars at this part of the installation process as well.
Slide the headlight mount over the steer tube on top of one headset spacer. Reinstall the remaining headset spacers along with the stem and handlebars.
To connect the light to the bike plug in the red-ended connector attached to the headlight onto the wire for the stock headlight on the bike. Line up the arrows on each end of the plug to correctly plug this in.
Tighten the metal sleeve to ensure this connection remains secure.
Install your batteries and test the light. Turn on the light with the same buttons as you would for the stock headlight.
If you are having trouble with the operation of the light, please submit a support ticket using the same email you placed your order under. Please note in the ticket your Biktrix order number, the trouble you are experiencing and include photos of the issue. Also include the serial number that is engraved on the side of your light.
