How to remove a stuck Hidden Battery from a bike
Help Desk Support
Follow these instructions to remove a stuck Hidden Battery from your bike.
You will need the following tools to do this:
3mm Allen Key
Goto the battery release knob on the bike - it will be on the bottom side of the downtube near the headtube of the bike.
Loosen the Phillips head screw so the knob is still loosely held onto the bike and can be turnt.
Loosen the screws circled below so they are approximately halfway threaded into the bike.
Now goto the bottom battery mount. Loosen the three screws circled below so they are approximately halfway threaded into the bike.
Wiggle the battery and the battery mounts - trying to shake and juggle the parts. Toggle the battery release knob as well to attempt to remove the battery from the frame. You may need to lightly pry at the edge of the battery and frame with a plastic wedge to provide some extra force. DO NOT USE ANY METAL OBJECT FOR THIS!
With the battery removed now slide the upper and lower battery mounts to go as far apart as possible. Then tighten the screws and try to reinsert the battery.
Are you looking to change the battery lock? Consult this guide here for instructions on changing out the battery lock - start at Step 4 of that guide.
